In the middle of July, I was asked to make a couple of birthday photo card invitations for a sweet gal who I had met through a good friend of mine. I had actually created her daughter's birth announcement a year ago! It was fun to do this for her to have something that she could have as a keepsake and send to her family for birthday invitations. I loved seeing how much sweet little Rachel had grown in a year!
That same day, they would be celebrating the 33rd birthday of the sweet little one-year old's uncle's birthday and his sister wanted something she could send for his invitation as well. It was actually a bit tough for me to create something for a male since I'm so used to using frilly flowers and such, but I liked how it came out. Simple, but still manly.
My dad's 60th birthday is today!! He's definitely not one to shout it out that it's his birthday, but I'm sure he will appreciate the photo card I made him from the grandkids that he will receive in the mail...hopefully today. He loves his grandbabies that's for sure!! Can't wait for him and my mom to come "home" for the holidays!

My son's first birthday was last Sunday. We celebrated with a monkey birthday party, all decked out in bananas! To look back over the year, I put together a month by month photo collage of my sweet boy. Where did the time go?
Here is the newest photo card birthday invitation I have created. It is for my son's FIRST birthday at the end of this month. The theme will be monkeys because, these days, that's exactly what he is! Climbing into things (places I never thought he would fit), up things, over things and if I let him, he may just try to swing from the light fixtures. I can't wait to share all of the fun ideas I have swarming around in my head to go along with a monkey birthday extravaganza! Future posts will follow...
