two in one photo card

I just wanted to share this photo card I created for a friend of mine who just had her FOURTH child only 2 weeks ago. I had told her I would love to create her little guy's baby announcement (I was honored to create her baby girl's announcement, too!). I suggested that maybe combining her Christmas card and baby announcement might be fun, and she said that sounded like a good idea. I'm in LOVE with how it turned out and she adored it, too. I think this is just her style.

Christmas greetings for friends!

I love getting the chance to design Christmas cards for friends! Most of my friends know that I do photo design cards on the side, so I normally don't advertise it or pressure anyone. But each year I am always asked by a friend or two to design their Christmas card. This year I had the pleasure of creating a couple of Christmas greetings that two friends could send out to say Merry Christmas!

I just love making photo cards at Christmas time.

Here are a couple I've done for my family...

This one was created for my mom to use in her Christmas card this year.
She wanted something simple with a picture of the grandkids being the main focus. I really like how it turned out!

This was last year's {even simpler} card for my mom. She used it in the front of a greeting card, so that is why there is the large white border around it.
Look how much they've grown!

I whipped this one up for my sister's card this year.
It may look familiar as this was very
similar to our Christmas card in 2006.

baby boy Bradley

What a blessing it was for me to create this baby announcement for my very dear friend, Kim. Her sweet baby Bradley was born just about a month ago and he's the cutest little thing!

two birthdays are double the fun!

In the middle of July, I was asked to make a couple of birthday photo card invitations for a sweet gal who I had met through a good friend of mine. I had actually created her daughter's birth announcement a year ago! It was fun to do this for her to have something that she could have as a keepsake and send to her family for birthday invitations. I loved seeing how much sweet little Rachel had grown in a year!


That same day, they would be celebrating the 33rd birthday of the sweet little one-year old's uncle's birthday and his sister wanted something she could send for his invitation as well. It was actually a bit tough for me to create something for a male since I'm so used to using frilly flowers and such, but I liked how it came out. Simple, but still manly.

In the past six months or so, I have been able to create baby announcements for close friends of mine as gifts to them. Many of my girlfriends are having their second or third babies and it's an honor of mine to be able to do something special and unique for them to welcome their newest little one into their family. It makes a great little baby gift!

Here is the newest one I created about a month ago. Sweet baby Gavin has two older brothers, so this was the perfect little gift to give a momma who already has everything for a boy!

I was able to create this baby announcement for a good friend of mine who had her second little girl. I had so much fun coordinating the main picture with the overall design. Aren't the brown polka dots with pink adorable!? I really enjoyed being able to create something special as my gift for the newest arrival to their family!

a simple and sweet way to say thank you

I was so excited when I was contacted by a very sweet gal who lives all the way in South Carolina. She was interested in having me design a thank you-style photo card for her to be able to send to her family and friends for some baby gifts she had been given when she had her newborn son. After "talking" through e-mail back and forth, I was able to come up with something simple, but cute for her. She was so much fun to work with and I look forward to the next round of photo cards I can create for her! She's already said she will definitely be back for more!

*This is a 5x7 photo card and because she was interested in writing a thank you on the back, I matted it with white cardstock (just a thin border was seen).*

a little bit of sweetness

I'm helping host a baby shower for my good friend who is expecting her second baby girl. I wanted something simple, but sweet for the invitation, so this is what I came up with.


It is a printed 4x6 photo finished card with white cardstock backing to fit into a 5x7 envelope.

simple, but classic

A friend called me up last week wondering if I could create a simple, yet classic wedding invite for a friend of hers. I jumped at the chance and created this!


She chose the 4x6 option, and was planning on using either black or white cardstock matting to create the 5x7 look. Usually, I do everything - designing, printing, assembly, with envelopes included, but this time around I was only responsible for the design and she took care of the rest.
